Prothrombin Time

Evaluates the ability of the blood to clot properly. Used in conjunction with PTT to evaluate the functions of ALL coagulation factors. PT levels for patients adjusting to anticoagulation therapy should be between 2.0 - 3.5 before they will be discharged from the hospital.
